Celebrating Excellence: Hawks Presentation Night 2025

The Woodend-Hesket Football Netball Club came together to celebrate an outstanding season at our annual Presentation Night, recognizing the exceptional performances and contributions across all grades and age groups.

Netball Honours

A Grade saw Sarah Duff take home Best & Fairest and Players Player honours, with Ty Coppinger as runner-up. Natalie McDonald earned the Coaches Award and was also named Player of Finals - a remarkable achievement for such a young talent.

B Grade celebrated Beth Barry as Best & Fairest, Mackenzie Svendsen as runner-up, and Ruby Robinson as Players Player. Zoe Phillips received the Coaches Award.

Under 19s recognized Ange Doherty with Best & Fairest and the Kellie Duff Medal, Minty Taylor as runner-up, Kendra Crocker as Players Player, and Torah Dowling with the Coaches Award.

C Grade honoured Courtney Chettle with Best & Fairest and the Belinda McCulloch Medal, Emma Webb as runner-up and Player of Finals, while Jess Seddon claimed Players Player and Lia McQualter won the Coaches Award.

D Grade led the way with Sophie Conlan claiming both Best & Fairest and Players Player awards, while Hayley Morrison was named runner-up. Anna Moloney received the Coaches Award, and Isla Munro was recognized as Player of Finals.

Football Recognition

Seniors saw Dan Toman claim Best & Fairest with the Laurie O'Brien Medal, Marcus Stapleton as runner-up, and Ryley Ferguson third. The Players Player award (Kath & Darryl Bourke Award) was shared by Jack Duggan and Ryley Ferguson, while Brendan Butler received the Coaches Award.

Reserves celebrated Luke Bourke with Best & Fairest and the Ken 'Doc' Managan Medal, Saxon Gardner as runner-up and Players Player (Mick 'Gumboot' Barker Award), Jock Braszell third, with coaching honours shared by Jock Braszell and Aaron Cerone.

Under 19s honoured Henry Bourke with Best & Fairest and the Peter Gove Medal, Brandon Jeffrey as runner-up, Harrison Bate third and Leading Goal Kicker, Bryn Sawyer as Players Player (Phil Boldiston Award), and Declan McDonald with the Coaches Award.

Club Recognition

The evening also celebrated broader club contributions with Cooper Warner receiving Junior Club Person (Lachlan 'EJ' Whitton Award) and Az Warner named Senior Club Person (Polly Barker Award). Louise Marendaz was recognized as Netball Leading Goaler, while Minty Taylor and Finlay Watt were honored as Netball and Football Rising Stars respectively.

The 2025 season has been one of remarkable achievement across all levels, with these awards highlighting the depth of talent, dedication, and community spirit that defines the Hawks family.
